Main Squares
Cathedral Square (Plaza Alfonso II el Casto): Dominated by the majestic Cathedral of San Salvador, this square is the spiritual center of the city. The Original Way of Saint James begins here.
Constitution Square: Presided over by the Oviedo City Hall and Church of San Isidoro el Real, it connects the commercial area with the historic quarter.
Fontán Square: Picturesque and colorful, it preserves the charm of the old market. Surrounded by cider houses and terraces, it is one of the liveliest places in the city center.

Cathedral of San Salvador: A jewel of Asturian Gothic architecture housing the Holy Chamber, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Monastery of San Pelayo: Founded in the 10th century and still inhabited by Benedictine nuns. Its Romanesque church is one of the oldest in Oviedo.
