San Mateo Festival 2026 in Oviedo

Every September, Oviedo celebrates its great popular festival: San Mateo. Music, theatre, food, tradition and activities for all audiences fill the streets, squares and parks of the city.

In 2026, music will once again play a major role, with performances spread across several city-centre venues and large paid concerts at the La Ería venue, next to the Carlos Tartiere stadium. Announced names include Leiva, Mónica Naranjo, Celtas Cortos, Rodrigo Cuevas, Taburete, Siloé, Sexy Zebras, Hoodoo Gurus, Alejo Stivel, Amistades Peligrosas and Orquesta Mondragón.

San Mateo 2026 dates

The main festival programme is concentrated between 10 and 21 September 2026. Monday, 21 September, the feast of San Mateo and Bollo Day, is also a local public holiday in Oviedo.

The programme may be subject to change. Ovetus.com will update this page as further details are published.

Practical tips

  • For paid concerts at La Ería, check the timetable, door-opening times and access conditions in advance.
